Shoe boxes sent to Operation Christmas Child

Year 7 and 8 students filled 49 shoe boxes for Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child appeal.  And our Sixth Form students ran a cake sale and raised £179.90 to help with the postage costs

Operation Christmas Child is a well-known initiative where thousands of churches and schools fill shoeboxes with small gifts to be sent overseas.

The boxes are packed with toys, school supplies and hygiene items.  Other items that can be included are hat, gloves, scarf, sunglasses, cap, socks, T-shirt, flip-flops, hair accessories and jewellery.

Samaritan’s Purse UK is an international relief and development organisation that works through local churches to proclaim and demonstrate the love of God amongst communities in need (in countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia) across the world.
