Dress Code

Our Sixth Form students are expected to dress smartly, professionally and in a formal style  ready for study. Students are expected to adhere to the dress code below. Students will be  sent home if a member of staff judges them to be wearing an item of clothing that is  inappropriate and not within the dress code. 

FEMALE 

Black standard length formal jacket/blazer to be worn at all times, no zip up tops
Black full length formal trousers. Jeans, tight skinny trousers and leggings are not to be worn 
Black formal knee length skirt. Stretchy skirts and mini skirts are not appropriate and must not be worn 
White or black plain formal shirt/blouse with sleeves (long or short) and collar
Plain black cardigan or V neck jumper can be worn underneath the jacket/blazer
Black formal shoes. No trainers or canvas shoes or boots. 
Tights to be black or flesh coloured, can be patterned but not fishnet
Jewellery must be discreet. No piercings other than small, discreet earrings and no  more than one piercing in each ear. Nose piercings are not allowed 
Hair - must be a natural colour, no extremes of style or colour. 
White or black plain formal shirt/blouse with sleeves and collar

MALE 

White or black plain formal shirt with long or short sleeves  
Black formal trousers. Trousers must be formal style. Jeans, tight skinny trousers are  not to be worn 
Black standard length formal jacket/blazer/suit to be worn at all times, no zip up tops ∙ Plain, black V neck jumper 
Black formal shoes, no trainers or canvas shoes 
Sixth Form Tie 
Jewellery must be discreet. Ear studs but no earrings. 
Hair - must be a natural colour, no extremes of style or colour. No lines or patterns  are to be shaved into the hair and eyebrows. 

ALL STUDENTS 

A plain navy or black outdoor coat no denim or leather jackets or zip-up tops
Scarves and hats - plain black or white.
