The Royal Courts of Justice A-Level Law Students

9th Nov 2023

At the start of November pupils studying A-Level law had the opportunity to have a legal tour around the Royal Courts of Justice in London. They went into the courts where they listened to an expert on various legal topics relating to the courts. They were even able to look inside court 13 (Where the Wagatha Christie case took place!).

They were then able to sit in the public galleries of The Old Bailey Criminal Courts, where we watched a real life murder trial taking place, the pupils were excellent and were engrossed in the trial (despite having to give theirs phones up!), they got to hear the defendant give evidence and the cross examination by the prosecutions lawyer. It was an excellent experience and a real insight into how the court systems work.

Leaders have developed an ambitious curriculum for all pupils. This includes for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
