Head Boy Welcome
My name is Francis Alcala and it is a real privilege to be The Palmer Catholic Academy's head boy.
I have been at the academy since Year 7 and during my time here the academy has shown dedication and support towards its students. There is a strong sense of community From memories to friendships, I have enjoyed my time here. The Academy feels like one big family and I am grateful for that.
I have been given opportunities such as being part of the school council and running charity events. I have taken part in the CAFOD leadership scheme to spread awareness and raise money for climate change and deforestation. These experiences have helped me develop skills as a leader and I am pleased to be able to showcase this by being a role model within the school.
The jump from GCSEs to A Levels was massive but the staff helped us to settle in and supported us as we learnt how to study for A Levels. I am studying Maths, Further Maths and Economics and plan to study Economics at university.
