Christmas Fundraising

The academy works alongside charities that support those who are less fortunate than ourselves and during advent and the lead up to Christmas we fundraise for a number of charities.  This year we raised money for Crisis, Shelter, Save The Children and Providence Row.  And we had our usual collection of Christmas Hampers of food for Redbridge Food Bank.  Students and staff brought in items from the Food Bank's shopping list of most needed items.

Despite the week of snow, we ran our Christmas Market and raised £272.52.  The market had a home in the music department and ran for three days to give students and staff the opportunity to browse the fabulous items on sale.   Students gave up their break and lunchtimes to make Christmas decorations, create printed wrapping paper, design personalised key rings and bake Christmas cookies.

Sixth Form registration group, Clitherow raised £296.83 for Survivors' Trust, a charity they are supporting throughout this academic year.

Our Christmas Jumper day on 8th December raised £80.

On the final day of term, students were able to come in non-uniform and this raised £768.42.
