St George's Day Family Activities

Redbridge Culture Team – facilitate a number of free family events throughout the year starting this year celebrating St Georges day family activities on 21 April at Fullwell Cross Barkingside – Ken Aston Square and Ilford Town centre please see attached for more information.

 

Tea Dances

Try something NEW! New YOU!

Try dancing the day away. Every month Mr Wonderful our resident Dj plays the tracks that give you that feel good factor which keeps brightens any up any spring day. The atmosphere is warm and meet great people, enjoy the afternoon listening to amazing music and dancing. This all takes place in the beautiful back drop of Sir James Hawkey Hall. Tea and biscuits included in the price.

Come and join us at Ken Aston Square for the Jelly Roller – The Dragon

The beautifully crafted wooden dragon.  All ages are invited to operate the half dozen handles which launch 12ft tall George the Dragon into a grand display of hand cranked contraptioneering.  He plays music, blows bubbles and displays the joys and ingenuity of mechanical engineering.   Just turn the handles to generate smiles and laughter.

In Garlic Theatre’s award winning production, a delicious mix of wit, humour and inventiveness combined to celebrate one of the most famous medieval legends of all time.
