Caring for the Individual
Although this is a large Academy, students are not anonymous but are individually supported. Parental partnership is of vital importance; we seek committed parents who are prepared to be fully supportive of the Academy ethos. Regular communication on progress using quantitative data is a strong feature.
All our students in Years 7 to 13 are expected to wear their Academy uniform with pride.
We treat all our students as individuals and we go to great lengths to support their personal and academic needs. In return we expect our students to demonstrate respect for the Academy, each other and for all members of staff.
Your child will meet with their Form Tutor each morning. The Form Tutor is the first port of call for our pastoral care system. Each year group has a Head of Year to look after the students personally and also keep close track of their academic progress. Other school structures support individuals and groups of students both pastorally and academically. The Learning Support Department, Learning Mentors and a counsellor from Brentwood Catholic Children's Society all work together so that students enjoy learning and success in a safe and happy environment.
