The Palmer Catholic Academy

Admissions to Sixth Form

The Palmer Catholic Academy is first and foremost a Catholic school, and whilst students of other religions are welcomed, all students are required to support the Christian ethos of the academy.

Students wishing to enter the Sixth Form at The Palmer Catholic Academy are expected to adhere fully to the academy’s attendance policy.

We expect a total commitment to work from Sixth Form students. Therefore, necessary requirements are evidence of hard work and motivation.

Students who apply to the Sixth Form are expected to have a good behaviour record that reflects the Christian ethos of the Academy.

School records, portfolios of achievement and references will be looked at before making a final decision to offer students a place at The Palmer Catholic Academy Sixth Form.

Please scroll down to find the documents for Sixth Form admission in September 2018.  The prospectus introduces the Sixth Form.  The course booklet describes the course we run and the requirements to join each course.

In January 2018, all  our current Year 11 students will have a personal interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team.  This will be a time to discuss their subject choices and future plans, irrespective of whether they wish to attend our Sixth Form, move on to college or seek employment.  Students will be asked to fill in an application form as part of the interview.  There is no application form to download here.

Students who  were not previously at the Academy should  download and complete the external students application form and post back to the academy.  There is no deadline for applications but we encourage students to apply as soon as they can.

Catholic applicants should submit a completed Certificate of Catholic Practice and Baptismal certificate. This must be sent in with a completed Application Form.

Please return application forms to Mother Teresa Office at the academy.
